Dunree Sunset
Location: Milltown Beach, Looking Towards Dunree Head, Innishowen, County Donegal.
Dunree Head is on the Inishowen Peninsula in County Donegal, Ireland. The headland juts into Lough Swilly 10km northwest of Buncrana. Its peaks rise along the Atlantic ocean, and are buffered by a smooth sandy beach at their base. You can just make out Fort Dunree amongst the jagged sea cliffs in the distance.
This photograph was used as the front cover of the January 2012 issue of the "Photography Monthly" magazine.

I am an artist based in Wales and a client has requested that I paint one of your images for her as she comes from Donegal and loves the way your work has captured the light in the landscape. I don't need to purchase an image or have a high resolution image and the painting won't be used commercially but I wanted to request your permission to use the image for painting inspiration. My style of work isn't photo realistic, far more impressionistic. I would be very happy to pay £15 to use the image, but there is no need to send it to me. I hope you find this agreeable. If I post the image on any social media or my website I would of course credit you as the photographer.
