The King's Road
Location: The Dark Hedges, Bregagh Road, Stranocum,County Antrim.
This is a photograph of the Dark Hedges which has long been a popular tourist attraction. The beautiful avenue of beech trees was planted in the eighteenth century by the Stuart family as a landscape feature for the entrance to their home. Over two hundred years later most of the trees are still standing providing an impressive landscape feature for all to enjoy to this day. Recently the location was used to represent the King's Road for a scene in HBO's Game Of Thrones TV series as Ayra Stark makes her escape from King's Landing.
