Rock of Cashel
Location: Rock of Cashel, Castle, County Tipperary
The Rock of Cashel was an ancient royal site used as a fortress by the Kings of Munster for several hundred years. One of the most famous Kings inaugurated here was Brian Boru in 990. Another famous name associated with the site is St. Patrick whom according to legend visited the site in AD 432.
