Prehistoric Ireland - Irish Stone Circles - Ballynoe
Location: Ballynoe Stone Circle, Ballynoe, County Down.

I was busy photographing the setting sun at the Ballynoe Stone Circle when I glanced over my shoulder and saw that the moon was rising behind me. I continued to photograph the sunset until it had disappeared below the horizon but it was still giving a warm glow to the clouds and sky. I made my way to the other side of the ancient monument and took this photograph of a moonrise over the stones.
